Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Panacur 2.5%/Drontal??
- By Mini [gb] Date 09.09.08 15:28 UTC
I have two four month old pups who have been regularly wormed on panacur oral suspension 2.5%, as was their mother from day 44 of pregnancy and for three days post whelp. One is slightly bigger than the other, approx 1kg and 1.2kg.  Bought the usual dose of drontal from the vet for the other dogs in the house, 1/4 tablet per 2.5kg bodyweight, leaving 1/4 tablet, and was just wondering if if would be ok to move pups on to drontal as they have been venturing out now and going into areas where lots of dogs are walked?

PS I am totally paranoid about worming and exact doses.

I'm sure that will be fine, ours have Drontal from their first worming after we bring them home.

I use Drontal for my adults and Panacur 10% for my pups/pregnant bitches. Excellent results with both.

If you prefer the idea of a single dose then the Drontal would be ideal. I get mine from here... http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/ much cheaper than most other places and you can get all your other bits and pieces on their too. Very handy!
