Hi all

i have recently taken over showing my boy ' boo ' as he is a real mummy's boy and just keeps looking for me when my dad is showing him , i have decieded to start using bait as he love's his food , just to keep his attention as i want to freestand him , any idea's and receipes greatly appreciated ,

also does anyone know where i can get a nice bait pouch for a good price

I find with my dogs that it works best to vary the bait, then they never know what they'll get and will be extra eager, and not get bored. :) Liver, liver cake, hot dog, sausages, cheese, any type of dog treats, ham, chicken, meatballs, black pudding -anything they like really. :) I've used all of that. The only trouble is that usually the nicest treats are very sticky to handle, and the dryer ones are boring...

I buy lambs liver, cut it up small with scissors, say half inch pieces and leave it in the bottom oven of my aga for about 5 hours.
it goes hard as nails,they love it, it's not sticky, doesn't need much preparation either. Then I store it in a Kilner jar.
If you haven't got an aga, a very low oven will do.

As with Marianne I change the type of bait used - keeps them keener.  Mainly different types of offal though :)

he adore's shortbread biscuit's i know not very healthy but only occasionally , does anyone know of some dog friendly receipes
