Went walkies as usual, came home as usual, part way through the evening finished a yogart and both dogs lick the pots, no Whistler. Got him out from behind the chair and he has a huge nose all swollen oh dear. Checked on him at 1 am, 2am, OH at 3am this morning its all pus and swelling!! so its vets looks like a bite, sting, definate sign of entry and he is sorry for himself. I did catch him chasing wasps a few days ago but he has had his nose where he should not!! All my workman are concerned as he is the welcoming party and he is sat in his bed and just feebly rolls over when they offer a scratch tummy.
Daren't bath it or anything in case I make it worse, OH had a magnifying glass on it am but cant see much.. Im trying not to panic, with the kids Id be better at least they could tell me what they did.

Poor Whistler!
I hope his poor nose is better soon. A sting or bite does seem quite likely doesn't it. Hopefully it will be easy to sort and Whistler will be enjoying his yoghurt pots again soon :-)
Poor old boy!
Looks like a sting but he has had his antihistamine injection, anti inflamatory stuff, thermometer where the sun definately does not shine and he is laying at my feet very sad, poor boy.
The vet is quite happy that he will be ok but he is so quiet its unsettling, no walk home tonight its bed rest I think.
bless him hope hes feeling better and back to himself soon x

How is poor Whistler doing this morning? Back to his old self hopefully.

They are a worry aren't they.
Umm a bit quiet but the "trout" nose is returning to normal he has a small hole where he was stung/spiked and its a bit sore but I have some antihistimine around now just in case it happend again. Thanks for asking, hes asleep on my feet now so almost back to normal!! thank goodness, he looked like he had developed a golf ball on the end of his nose.
