The undescended testicle is a 7mo malamute pup. We are in the US.
I have trouble finding info here, which I think could be do to the trend to neuter so early. Everyone recommends to neuter at 6mos. Possibly enough people do not wait a lot longer, so there is a scarcity of information. I thought I would see what the opinion is in other countries.

I have found information that undescended testicle is common in a lot of smaller breeds, but I can't find anything specific on malamutes. Or if it is common in many large breeds, and at what age to give up hope!!

I do plan to join this list--when I get my PC back from being repaired. I am currently limited to public workstations until that happens. I have enjoyed reading all the information and opinions I have seen so far--many times a refreshing differnce from lists I have seen that are mainly USA in origin!!

Thank you

There are some malamute owners here who will maube be able to offer help, but I would agree it is a bit too early to worru yet. My male BSD had an undescended testicle, he was slightly inbred. I waited a year and then had him neutered for health reasons, this was on the advice of his breeder and also the vet.

Sorry not much to go on!
