hi i am asking this question for a freind who has no internet access: has anyone tried rasberry leaf and has it actually worked i have found loads of comments on internet saying that dogs that usually have problems now whelp with ease and they breaze through there labout but my freind wanted comments from people who have actually used the product with success or faliure.

hope someone has experience of this product and can help
kind regards

Our experience was not a good one, but I suspect it would have still been the case without the RLT, so I'd say give it go, I got mine from Dorwest Herbs - they were very helpful on the telephone :-)

hi what happened when you used it?

I have heard good things about it both in dogs and hooomans( why not we are all animals really and the only difference between a vet and a doctor is that a vets patients cant tell him whats wrong LOL !)but you need to research when to  use it.

My bitch had one pup, then inertia set in resulting in an emergency c-section

I used it with my bitches and had quick, easy whelpings with no problems.

I always give it to my bitches from around 4 weeks after mating and have had easy whelpings with them.I think it tends to make the labour quicker.

I have had bitches in the past that suffer from false pregnancies and after starting them on raspberry leaf tablets I havent had another false pregnancy.  I know use them regularly with all my bitches.  I have also recommended them to friends who had the same problems and they have all reported success.  So I personally think they do work but it is the same with everything out there is what works for one doesnt for another.  I have never really found they have made a difference to whelping but then I have always had good self whelpers.

I've had mixed results. I used it first time, easy whelping of 7 puppies.  Used it again on a different bitch, c section (secondary inertia), no surviving puppies.  Same bitch but didn't use it, easy whelping of 9 puppies.  I don't know if I would use it again.

hi thanks for all the replies i think it has put her off using it as there are a lot of good things on the net but dont think she would forgive herself if anything like that happened due to giving her the rasberry leaf. but thanks everyone for sharing there experiences
