Hiya, I had my bitch mated 8 days ago she was swabbed and it said she was ovulatiing at 6 days, all tho not unheard of I understand this to be un common, anyway she was mated 1st on day 6 with just a small amount of bleeding after, day 7 the blood had seemed to have stopped, day 8 she was mated again, still not much sign any bloody the 3rd and final mating took place on day 10 and since she has been bleeding heavier than her normal season, it is very watery (thin) like watered down blood not thick nor deep red, she seems fine in herself when she is awake that is....she is sleeping quite a bit drinking and eating but being slightly more fussy with her food, she was given a course of abs prior to the mating and is on another course of abs now.....is this normal? does it mean she hasnt caught or may have picked up a infection or been damaged inside? this will be my first litter and getting mixed views from things i find on the net....so any advice or opinoons most greatfully recieved!
could be that she did pick up an infection maybe water infection? so the abs will do the trick ,the bleeding sounds ok to me but im no vet ,after my girl was mated her bleed went lighter and stopped after 4weeks !!

yes I will have to get them out the cupboard, will pm you them asap!
I hope I can lose 10 lbs with all the worry of it all too!!....lol

A few years ago one of my girls bled from day one of her season until after she whelped, she had 7 healthy pups, but our vet did put her on a course of Synulox all the way through her pregnancy.
I have found it quite normal for there to be a slightly heavier discharge the week after mating, my vet told me it was a sign of fertility, not sure if he was right, but we've never had a miss or failed pregnancy.
Good luck.

I would expect her season to continue as normal ,and because of mating some extra bleeding after is pretty common.
