I am so sorry for the loss of your sister.  There are some lovely bereavement poems available, just 'google' it in and you'll find lots.

Brac - may I offer you condolences on your loss, and applaud your bravery on wanting to speak at your beloved sister's funeral.

I can only offer suggestions that you have possibly already discarded - but here - with love - are two offerings for you:-

DEATH IS NOTHING AT ALL

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Life means all that it ever meant.
There is absolutely unbroken continuity....
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight.
I am waiting for you.....
for an interval....
somewhere near,
just around the corner.

All is well.

Henry Scott Holland

What is dying?

I am standing on the sea shore.
A ship sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her, till at last she fades into the horizon, and someone at my side says "She's gone", Gone where?
She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I last saw her.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says "she's gone", there are others who are watching her coming.
And other voices take up the glad shout " There she comes".

That is dying.

i am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

i am so sorry, thinking of you and your family {{{hug}}}

i don;t know if you think it suitable but the only ones i can think of are 'Stop all the Clocks' or this John Donne sonnet

HOLY SONNETS.

X.

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so ;
For those, whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy picture[s] be,
Much pleasure, then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou'rt slave to Fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy, or charms can make us sleep as well,
And better than thy stroke ;  why swell'st thou then ?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And Death shall be no more ;  Death, thou shalt die.

So sorry to hear of your loss and the difficult time you must be going through.

My children read the following poem at their dad's funeral and we all found it a great comfort - it just needs to have He changed for She

He Is Gone

You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your
                                                                          back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes,
                                                              love and go on.

So sorry to hear of your loss.

This poem was read at my brother in law's funeral and I find the words very moving, especially for a younger person.

Don't Grieve For Me
Author: Linda Jo Jackson

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard him call;

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way;

I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;

Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savored much;

Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seems all to brief;

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,

God wanted me now, He set me free.

Brac a sister is some one so special x x

This was for a dear friend taken far too soon.

Miss Me, But Let Me Go.

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,
I want no tears in a gloom filled room.Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too much, and not with your head bowed low,
Remember me the love that once we shared

Miss me, but let me go.

This is a journey we all must take and each must take alone.
It's all a part of God's perfect plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart go to the friends we know.
Bury your sorrows in doing good.

Miss me, but let me go.
