Could mum be eating it before you notice?
i watch mum cleaning them but i dont see them pooing !!!

I very rarely see pups pooing when the bitch is doing the cleaning.
With my own pups I have found them pooing unaided at two weeks (book of the bitch I think says 18 days), basically as soon as they can get on their feet, which with this litter was 10 days (though rather drunkenly at first).
thankyou brainless thay are up on there feet ,lol yes look druk!! and 2 of them are starting to open there eyes x
they usually poo alone once they start solids and mum stops cleaning them

yes i agree sara1bee

I am sorry but pups can poo without the bitches stimulation long before they start on solids which is usually not until around 3 weeks.
they may poo but mum cleans it before you can see it
i do hope so because i carnt see any poo in bed mum does clean and lick them so she must be doing it ,there not crying or awake alot so all must be well ,im at vets tomorrow for there 1st worming i will ask the vet to make sure there tums are feeling ok ,thankyou every one xx

Only if she happens to be there. Mien will continue to clear up after their pups if I let them well into weaning, but pups can poo without
stimulation long before.
thay are standing up and having a wee now , i dropped a tiny bit of maet in to the bed when feeding mum ,and one of the pup came over and was licking it lol ,and one of them was barking like mad ,most of them have there eyes open now and its only 15days !!

White lilly, i'm so glad everything is going well for you now. The tone of your posts is so relaxed, even cheerful now :)
Enjoy your furbabies and good luck to you all. xxx

today pups are 17 days old ,and im still not seeing any poo !! if i watch mum cleaning them she looks at me and stops !!! theres just no mess at all in there bed ,mum dont stay with them now ,as soon as shes feed them she off !!! ive tried my self with cootonwool and theres nothing !! could i use liquid parafine to be on the safe side ? if how much is it 0.3ml ? has mum is still feeding them ,do i put it strate in there mouths? x

gollie would clean up her puppies up to 4 weeks old
if they werent pooing you would see they will be in pain like coilc they wouldnt feed either.they tummy would be full.
briedog didnt u see any poo till 4weeks ? im hoping thats what is happening here too ,x

no mum would clean up after the puppies once on solid food around 4 to 4 1/2 weeks then they would poo on their own put some time gollie would still clean up after them she is a great mum..
do your puppies look and play health and happy??????

white lilly, Did you say this is your 3rd litter?
Were the other two a long time ago, maybe you have forgotten how long mum cleans up after the pups? :-)
Or is this litter very different from the others?
this litter as been a night mare from mum whelping !! mum is in my bed room .wasnt before she had the kitchen and loved it in there!!!
because of other dogs shes in my room ,she feeds them ok but if im there she not clean them !! so ive been checking them and no poos but 3 of them keep lifting there legs up and cring ,i was worried mum isnt doing her job but ive just got bak from vets and there fine shes doing it (thank god) the 3 have a bit of colic (fenel tea) mums been ill this time all over bank hols ,she wasnt last time ,mum cleaned her last lot of pups way into weening ,i was just so worried she wasnt doing it cus when im in there she get out the bed after feeding them ,she wants to be down stairs with me !! im not letting her now shes staying up there with pups (apart from loo time) theres plenty of room for her to lie down even on my bed lol , my god its been so different !!! the last 2 where text book ,this time ive learnt what can go wrong x
