Not going myself but have heard the beardies are being moved inside due to the bad weather they have had over the last few days.
So I imagine other will be too .

I live 5 minutes away from the SKC showground and it's rained almost non stop here for the past week! However, it's bright and sunny today, with a good drying wind so it may not be too bad. At least at Ingliston the main paths are all concrete. It's the agility tomorrow and I am worried about that with ground being so waterlogged.

Anyone that's coming remember your dogs waterproof socks and leggings....all that wet, red shale in the car park!

Ooooh I'm so glad I just logged onto CD!  I've now packed Wellies as going upto SKC today, showing tomorrow.

Oh I didn't know, thanks very much for that :-) I often walk the dogs there (when it's not being used) I'm not sure about the parking though - there is one narrow concrete road through that field - I wouldn't think, after all the rain we've had, that people would be able to park on the grass there....it'll get very muddy very quickly. Do you know if the Scottish Agility Dog of the yea finals is being held at lunchtime as usual?

Edited to say I haven't been on the agility addicts forum for ages, and it's changed again. I stopped reading it due to lack of time, so many forums - dogs to walk etc.

I was tempted to go through on Sunday but with the rain and it being the last weekend of the festival I think the odds are stacking up against me going.  Good luck everyone who is going.

Hi All

They have moved ALL breeds in to the hall that they used last year, thankful I'm not going, showing inside yet again!.

Just back from SKC. It was a lovely day - such a pity we had to show indoors though. The ground was a tad wet after the rain so they had to move indoors.

What I would like to know is - WHO WAS THE PRAT WHO DECIDED TO HAVE A FLY SMOKE IN THE TOILETS, SETTING OFF THE FIRE ALARMS? It was so selfish of them, especially as it was nice outdoors. Why didn't they just go outside?

tell me about it!!! my boy was in the ring, was next to go up,some poor soul was half way around the ring when it went off. by the time we went back in, my boy was bored stiff and distracted, im sure it was because of that!

hi...anyone know if its indoors tomorrow please? Thanks!
- By Tigger2 Date 23.08.08 20:09 UTC
Not sure, it was a lovely day today with a good drying wind so I think there's a fair chance it will be outside. It really wasn't that much of a problem inside anyway. Good sized rings, nice surface and lots of cage areas set aside. Yes, the pathways were crowded but they are outside too.

I agree about the pillock having a fly smoke, hopefully standing outside for 20 minutes will have given them time to ponder about how stupid they were!

The agility people loved the new setup, being able to park ringside and bring all your dogs with you, shame we had to walk for miles to the loos though.

All in all I thought it was a great day, I'm going back tomorrow to watch the obedience and more showing :-)
