Well today my Sal decided to proudly bring in her bone (well a gumabone)...sadly the thing that came in with her bore little resemblance to the gumabone I know and buy from supermarkets. This "sad article" has obviously been buried for some time well not sure how long they need to be buried to get that look may have to start "CSI-ing them" :) however when I side tracked her with another I placed the "article" with no formal ceremony (due to time constraints) ie Sal coming back in the room to the rubbish bin.

She buries nothing but these gumabones oh and the occasional "smoked bone" she does not have them often.....does anyone else have a dog with - gravedigger tendencies....????

Oh meant to say she does not try to eat the once dug up just carries the around proudly then reburies them unless I get to them first..........

Our pup Turbo is a real hider, he brings toys out we thought were long gone and proudly sits with it in his mouth as if to say ''Ha! Didnt know where this one was did ya?'' lol :)

You should see the proper meaty bones after a few weeks :) :) The Mal enjoy leaving them to get smelly and manky and then having yet another chew ...then they insist on giving you a slobbery kiss :)

I got some of those tuggy toys like a rope with a knot at each end. They tend to leave them in the garden then appear with them after a rain storm all soggy and wet and dump them on the lounge carpet.
We have a gardener who does a few hedges and the lawn and has decided not to weed and feed but weed and fill in the excavations in the lawns. We brough the house for the garden so we could spend time init when we are officialally Old farts, so instead of a cleaner i had a gardener but then we got two dogs so its more an accident mitigation worker who fills in holes. This week he "found" three odd socks and some underpants I wondered why OH had odd socks!! The garden has set "run" areas where we cant plant or the boys would not get their funny five minutes through the flower beds and over the pond!!  Its a joy to watch and so funny!! Its also strewn with plastic plant pots. My earliest memory of Whistler was at 9 weeks sat in a huge plant pot decapitating tulips and daffs - what joy!! what a picture. When you have a border they "play" quite happily with a plant pot, throwing it in the air then racing around the garden and attacking the pot again. Plus they both hide and wait for cats......... really funny, Cocker runs out of patience first and scares them off.
