Does anyone know of where I can get one of these support 'bandages' almost like a tubi-grip for dogs

Use the human ones designed for kids, most chemists have them.  Dont think they do doggy ones.

If that doesn't work you can strap the joint up with a product called Vet Wrap, which is the most marvellous invention since it sticks to itself but not to anything else.
