My daughter has just been grooming her toy poodle (who is bathed weekly) and found some tiny little orange 'things' by her vulva and a little bit on her foot. Its almost like orange dust. hard to describe really but I have never seen anything like it before. Any ideas what it might be?
Thanks

I reckon its those ok. Can treat them now :-)
Hi
I've noticed my dogs have orange 'dots' on their feet, they do look strange ... we live in awful harvest mite territory!
I've been bathing in salt water and water/apple cider vinegar - alternately.
Frontline spray , not the spot on stuff, is what my vet recommends for harvest mites.

also shake on some ear mite powder helps a lot

Nellie picked these up when we were away last week - we used ordinary Frontline, the "spot on" stuff, and the mites vanished in less than 24 hrs. But the vet did suggest spraying Frontline directly onto the area would also be effective!
