I agree, I have the breeders assitant from tenset and really couldn't do without it.  You can print pedigrees, plan litters, plan matings, record vet vists, keep contact details of buyers and breeders.  Plus loads more.

I'm not interested in a program to produce a 5/6 generation pedigree - do this perfectly well on a Word document - but I am interested if anyone can recommend a database for recording pedigree info on.  I've just researched a 12 generation pedigree for 2 of my dogs, putting in working achievements, date of birth, coat type/colour, etc.  Have done this on a word document but really want to put info onto a decent database, so I can easily cross reference.  I've got Microsoft Access but hate it.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bought an excellent database program off a company on e-bay, the program is called Kin Tracks.

I have Breedmate and have put in well countless generations, right back to the original dogs used to create the breed. There are fields for DOB, coat color, etc. There's a whole separate record for showing that includes fields for obedience work. The fields can be customized too. However, I just tried to link to their website and it's down. I hope that doesn't mean they went out of business.

Oh yes, to do the link thing just use the url button on top of the reply box [url= http://www.breedmate.com ]Breedmate  [ /url ] but take the spaces out.
