75 is the correct temperature for your puppies, but bear in mind that it's quite common for your bitch to have a raised temperature for a few days after whelping and she would be very uncomfortable at 75, so be sure to position your heat lamp over one corner of the whelping box so that the bitch is not lying directly under it, also, if she IS uncomfortably hot, place a cold wet towel over her back and side when she is lying with the puppies, just leaving her teats exposed, obviously don't go off and leave the towel in place.Put it on when she can be under supervision by yourself. You can buy an excellent device from your vet which is designed for reptile tanks. It has a small sensor at one end about the size of the jack plug on a phone charger, and at the other end of the longish lead, there is a digital temperature display. If you just drape the sensor slightly over the edge of the whelping box, you can check if the box gets too hot or too cold. I've got one but there is no name on it so I can't tell you who makes them but they are brilliant at taking the guesswork out of temperature control.
