Has anyone any info or can they point me in the right direction re:

Can anyone explain the system of hip scores abroad and how they relate to our hip scoring system (esp Finland and Holland)

Thanks in anticipation, Sara :D

Now Sara W - can't help wondering why you want to know that - are we thinking of importing - that will keep you in on the cold winter evenings :)

The FCI HD1 is supposed to equate to no more than our 3:3 BUT I seem to have a comparitively large number of HD1's compared to the number of 3:3's or under and would query whether this is correct. Something else that also makes me question it is the dogs that are imported from these excellent hipped parents are rarely that low themselves (by quite a long way)

Does anyone else who collects pedigree/health data have any findings on the number of hip scores in various contries?

Christine

Thanks for your replies Ladies :)

I'm actually asking on behalf of Lynne Ja:)kie while she gets her membership sorted out ;) But importing a dog - now theres an idea .......

I did find a site Christine but I've lost the link now that said pretty much what you are re the comparisons and a good score in one place not equating to a good score on another scheme.

I was hoping someone could say A = ?BVA = FCI? and so on.

I'll go through the links Barbara has suggested

Sara :)
