Hmmmm, my answer is March 1962. I was showing regularly, well before the 1973 date, and I attended many Sunday shows, particularly Sanction Shows, which don't exist anymore. :)
Dawn R.

I remember going to Championship shows in the 70's where they held Sunday Services for all to attend so my guess would be 1973
Don't know - didn't start showing until 1980
Have tried to search unsuccessfully on internet.

I would agree with nursey and say march 1962 as I too remember sunday shows before 1973 or is it my memory now playing tricks on me??

Pam
Does anyone know (I have the answer in my book)
Why was Crufts cancelled in 1954 ?
Pam (before I was born!)
It was canceled due to an electricians strike..:)

That would be the first Championship Show I think as I know that I went to lots of Sanction & Limited shows on Sundays well before 1973 as many of the venues were not available on Saturdays
Up your hand up if you ever went to a show in Leeds (not the Champ Show)in the Corn Exchange I went there several times before 1973 on a Sunday & was there when the wind blew in the glass dome in & the show was abandoned, we met our Champion to be Beardie that day in 1974.
