Hi guest, I dont know if this will be of any help at all, but food for thought perhaphs for your vet.
I had a wolfhound pup do exactly the same thing, (a different situation because this was down to the breeder) but after many tests etc, it was discovered that she had a crack in her spine, which was pinching nerves and causing the problem. Wont go into all the details, but it took three weeks of drugs, sedatives and painkillers, until she could move again.(we had to wait for the nerves to die, before the pain stopped) She did walk again eventually, not perfectly but enough for her to get to ten years of age before her death from cancer. Perhaphs another option might be acuapuncture. Best of luck, hope you find out the cause of the problem
