I ADORED the Joker character! he was great in it and saved the film!!!

I'm really hoping not!  It wouldn't be right.  That was a great performance - he brought pathos to the character, as well as insanity - the wild laughter was just this side of hysterical tears.  What awful things had happened to the Joker to make him completely lose the plot?  Which of his horrifying stories were true?  All, or none?

Apparently it's the Riddler next - might be played by Johnny Depp???  We've still got the Penguin to come as well.

Heath Ledger should be given a posthumous Oscar for his performance,absolutley brilliant..

Yes i liked Heath Ledger as well, what a waste :( he was great in Broke back mountain, can't wait to see the new batman film.

Seen it twice now and it just gets better - second time round you see little bits and nuances that you missed first time round because you're too busy going "wow!" :-P

Heat was just fantastic in it, and I for one hope they don't try to replace him - it just would not be right at all.  They'll have to reference him I'm sure, but no more.

I understand that Twoface is in the next one - I'm told the actor (always forget his name) has signed for two films.  Not sure how they're going to do that though!

totally agree, anyone else would be a travesty now. did you hear they are considering him for a posthumous oscar? i think only one have been given before (might be wrong though)

johnny depp would be good, as he is yum but also a very good actor. i think he could do nutty quite well
