Dogs are much better at coping with food that is bad or contaminated, they pick up germs all the time and therefore, unlike us, they have a built in immunity.

Not saying it is impossible but it is more than likely he will be perfectly well and in possession of a little more protein than you intended.

canine digestive systems are much shorted and more acidic than we poncy humans and can cope with more-they are designed to deal with raw food (and so full of bacteria) as those who do the BARF diet know so your probably fine :)

Never had a problem with dogs eating abit of old food now and again.  If they eat alot of sausages it might cause a little looser movement in the rear but nothing that a 24 hour starve won't fix!

They are made of tougher stuff than us.  If we did it would be on the toilet for days but dogs it takes a lot to upset them.

Yep, I agree with everyone else. Mine will often pick up a slimy, stinky rabbit (on a walk) that has been dead for weeks and eat it, along with horse poo, raw chicken and various other things that would make us very ill - they seem to thrive on it :-D

My pup ate a chicken carcass from the bin-bag, it was crawling with maggots   I thought she'd be ill or have a dire rear  but nothing!!!  no difference at all    I was heaving trying to take it off her and she wasn't letting me :(

Thanks every one !!!!!  Thankfully there was no dire rear (like that spelling it somes it up) and the little witch (meant in a cute cheeky way) is absolutely fine....  PS what do the red stars mean at the side of our IDs????  fairly new to chamdogs

The red stars represent the total number of posts one has made on all of boards combined.

I wonder how many posts you need to have to get 5 stars?
