Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Anyone buying Timberwolf organics dry foods?

Just wanted to know what supply was like? (for Timberwolf organics)
Im guessing its still just Zooplus thats supplying??

Previously I had a pilot I used to work with bring it over from the states for me,but (selfishly!! ;-) ) he's swapped Airlines and no longer does Trans Atlantics :-(
It used to be quite sporadic through Zooplus, if it still is I'll probably plumb for Orijen.

Thanks if anyone can give me an idea....

Sorry Liv cant help but must say I,m dead jealous of your dogs having their own private pilot .
I thought Sengi was spoilt but that takes the buscuit.
I,m feeding Arden Grange with very good results if that helps.

The price of Timberwolf on Zooplus is far more expensive than it used to be, that's probably why they've got supplies, no-one's buying it now!

It was recalled a bit back so it may of put people off buying it now.

Your own private pilot aside ;-) I think you have got to expect an imported food to be going up greatly at the moment because the transport costs must be horrific.

It was salmon bone that got into a batch. There was a big hoo-ha about it and a statement was put on their site. I think there are several pet shops in USA that will no longer stock it as they felt it was dealt with very badly.

Wow! I have missed a lot while in hospital. Thats a shame about Orijen Im surprised.... but then the bigger they get the harder they fall (we've seen it over here with Nature diet for example and their percieved dealings with customers after the factory debacle.)

For information about the salmon bones found in Orijen there is a link off their home page www.championpetfoods.com

Just click on the 'salmon' where it says Salmon Bones in Orijen Pet Food.

They seem very up front about it.

Hi, What happened with Nature diet? I have been using it for 2 months to feed my puppies is there somethnig I should know??
- By HuskyGal Date 01.08.08 11:38 UTC
Oorbears,

No nothing to worry about :)

A couple of years ago they had problems with supplying and a new factory relocation..... what I was really trying to draw a parralel with was how folk are quick to rumour mill and 'do down' good companies that have worked hard to become as big as they are... victims of their own success kind of thing :)

Timberwolf isn't too bad a product, they have recently had a recall in some of their formulas though. I looked at importing this product to sell in the UK but found them as a whole 'difficult'. The reason that their food is priced so highly (speculating wildly) from zooplus is that they have to buy it from another supplier, as Timberwolf will not deal with them directly (thats fact!).

Thanks for reassuring me I use a box a day on my babies they love it and have been the best grown puppies we've had so it must be good stuff :-)
