Yep, got my girl all washed and pretty. She is miffed as she isn't allowed to do the prewash cycle on the dishwasher on the night before a show! :-D

Good luck, what breed is she?

Hi,
Good to put a face to a name-congratulations to your daughter- well done.
George got BOB and then Group 4 which amazed me but very happy none the less.
Jeff.

he looked really good in the ring, well done on the group 4, we were watching the ring allday, did you notice how the bullmastiff did in the group? My daughter was over the moon today she has worked so hard with him and shes been putting in extra pratice at home with him and swotting up on the dog anatomy and it finially payed off for her. She now has a choice who she can handel at richmond next year either of my 2 or a friend has also offered her bullmastiff for her use.

Thanks.
The Bullmastiff looked really good, I thought, but I don't think it made the cut.
Good that she has a choice of dogs-well done again to her.

My Cav got BOB though it was only us against 2 puppies, never seen such a poor entry, the pups were nice so I was pleased though. The organisation was a complete shambles wasn't it!!!
- By Jeff (Moderator) Date 03.08.08 16:16 UTC
Congratulations on your BOB.
I did wonder if the Field Officer was there by coincidence or because of history. I went 2 years ago and everything seemed fine.

i know my friend wasnt too happy she was in the catelogue under the dobermans she has a ddb and so was put into the doberman classes, so they had to change her over to ansc working open. then they changed rings without letting anyone know, she found out when she went to ask as they have taken down the ring she was meant to be in, then they were told someone else was juding when they wasnt. They didnt have many entrys for the show only about 300.

It was a shambles last year too, I had forgotten but my friend reminded me it was the show she did not stay after winning BOB because it got so late, the BP winner stayed and it was nearly 6pm before she left. It was like that this year too. I also noticed that there were 4 or 5 dogs in AVNSC classes that had also been entered in breed classes, clearly confusing them for AV, but surely the secretary or the judge should have noticed this??

This show is nearly always a shambles!  Heard afew interesting things about the committee and attitudes and the lack of stewards.....again! ;)

Well done to all who did well though!  :)

I spoke to one of the judges and they were very unimpressed, luckly took own steward but had to find own folder etc and set up everything in the ring so the judging could start. Really bad it's a show I don't go to because I'm not over keen on the venue but they will lose it if they don't start to sort themselves out. Lots of Open shows are disappearing now.

We were showing our dogs there, they asked for help with stewarding, my husband offered and ended up stewerding in almost every ring and for the whole day, people actually thought he was on the committee!

I felt sorry for one exhibitor as you had to get your BOB rosette from the secretary, when she went up to get it she was promptly told that she could not have it and it would be given to her when she went into the group, even though I had been given mine and other people had theres - she was quite fed up.  However she did get it in the end as the field officer was standing behind the secretary desk and she went and asked again for it and got it no questions asked.

Can anybody tell me the name of the TM judge and the Working Group judge please?
I think I know them but need to double check-thanks.
Jeff.
- By Sophie [gb] Date 04.08.08 15:04 UTC
The Working Group judge was Peter Diment (Chaylmolen).  Sorry probably being dumb here but what does TM stand for?  let me know and I tell you who was the judge.
- By denny4274 [gb] Date 04.08.08 15:30 UTC
Tm judge was mr J Batemean and group was Peter Diment
- By Jeff (Moderator) Date 04.08.08 17:09 UTC
