I really want to get a house alarm fitted but don't want to restrict the girls when its on. Does anyone have these Pet friendly alarms and how do you rate them?

Thanks

We have an alarm system fitted with detectors everywhere, the service guy adjusted them all so that they were less sensitive and didn't pick the dogs up, but they do still pick us up, even the kids.

I have a pet friendly one and it is great.  unless my dog was surfing round the top of the sofas when I go out it would not register but they do not look any different so burglars don't know they would have to go on hand'n'knees to break in!

and if they did they'd come up against a fairly annoyed staffy :)

Yup, it's a fairly simple thing to put on a different sensor that's OK for dogs, although not for cats as they tend to jump up higher and break the beam.  My alarm company didn't charge me anything to change my sensors :)

We too have an alarm, sensors and 4 dogs with no problems- had to have the windows one done because the dogs collars clinging on their water dish set them off lol
