hi, my bitch is 57 days and im not sure if she is in labour, she has been panting for 24 hours, restless and having little crys, but she is also carrying a teddy round with her everywhere she goes. I cant see any contractions, im just thinking is this the 1st stage of labour, she keeps going into corners and this morning she was in the wardrobe and shredding newspaper in her box. I havnt seen any discharge.
sounds like it and you may not see contractions. dont leave her side, encourage her to go out for a pee/poo and to drink glucose in water. be ready when she squats as if for a poo a puppy may pop out
hi, i can see black sack just dangling from her bum, shes not having any contractions yet.

Sounds as if it's going to be a busy night, good luck!

Just watch her closely, I don't want to scare you but this happened to my girl just recently and she had uterine intertia, contractions just didn't start, she ended up having a c-section.
hi, my little girl has had 2 pups so far, not sure if pups are feeding as they wont stop squealing.

Congratulations on the new arrivals. Can't offer any advice about the feeding I'm afraid but I'm sure someone will be along shortly.

Hi congratulations on the first two. May be that you need to latch them on for the first few times. Just take one of the teats in your hand and gently open the pups mouth with the other one and push it onto the teat. They'll get the hang of it pretty quickly if they haven't done so already
hi, after a very restless night, my girl ended u with 7 healthy pups, who did not stop crying all night, just phoned my vet and she told me to put her in her own bed, to which we have and pups all sucking away now, peace at last. My bitch is starving but everytime she eats she brings it all back, shes exhausted and hasnt been outside to releive her self yet, but i guess this may be normal, as this is my first litter, its all new to me.

I would physically take her outside. They are always reluctant like this but it will make her a lot more comfortable if she does get to relieve herself and she may be able to eat then and relax with her babies.

Congratulations with your new puppies!!
I feel so happy for you, My girl is due in 4 weeks and its my first time too, Sounds like your doing great!!
Good Luck!
JO

Make sure you're giving her something nice and bland, you might also want to add glucose to the water if she's having trouble keeping things down. I'm sure she will settle soon though. :-)
