Hi, My dog is due to give birth in 1 weeks time, as i am at work , i was going to get a thermometer to take her temperature daily so i have more of an idea when she will be due, as i do not want her to be left alone at any time from now, but im not sure what type of thermometer to buy, is it just a normal digital one that humans use or is there a certain one that you buy for dogs.

Nothing special for dogs.  You can use a digital one or, if you want to use an ordinary one, you must ensure it is a rectal one as the oral ones do not have the same strength of glass.  In order not to miss any drop you need to record 12 hourly rather than daily.
I am not sure that I would wish to rely on a drop in temperature to tell me to stay at home though as it is by no means a fool proof method.  At this stage I would only be nipping out for quick shopping etc.
