My dogs are fed a good quality complete diet and look good on it.:-) I also supplement with Salmon oil, but was speaking to a friend today and they said they supplement their studs/breeding bitches with Vitamin E. To be honest hadn't really thought about supplementing studs only bitches. What recommendations do people have?

Give my males vit E in the form of wheatgerm oil capsules and when they are to be used at stud I double the dose day before and on day of mating.  Recommended by Dorwest Herbs.

I've done the same with my last mating.  Bitch didn 't have pups last time but won't go into that.  I've repeated a previous good mating now where all the bitches in the litter are doing well in all fields of doggy life!  Just hoping that she's taken.  Might get her scanned next week.

Good Luck with the scan. Might start my boys on wheatgerm then don't suppose it will do any harm?

No it shouldn't.  I started it as soon as she came in season, one tablet a day then doubled the dose the day before and day of mating and then stopped it with the boy.  The bitch also needs to be on this and should be carried on for the first 3 weeks of pregnancy.  It's the first time I've ever tried it so fingers and everything crossed on the results.

I just hope that she doesn't have a beautiful short tailed girl as I've just kept her granddaughter who has a very, very long tail!!
