Torchwood and Dr Who are both filmed in and around Cardiff :-D  They've also filmed near us too     But to find them you have to get lucky, they keep it very quiet where they will be filming ;)

People who do get lucky and meet them in between filming say they are all very approachable and friendly :-D  - There's a website where you can read all about it :-D

Heard on the radio this morning - a discussion about what to call Cardiff International Airport - something more marketable (most of us still call it Rhoose airport!) The suggestion from someone was Torchwood!!!    Tom Jones airport has been suggested too but it has been said that it sounds as if it will always need a facelift.  :-)

Going back on topic - I met Charles Hawtrey on the stairs at the New Theatre Cardiff many years ago.  I had stopped to tie my laces and apologised to him.  'Carry on' he said (he was one of the stars of the Carry On films for the younger CDers)
