Hi, i got up this morning and found my girl has a swollen nose and up one side of her muzzle has doubled in size, she was fine yesterday, i have an oppointment at the vets later today but wondered if anyone knows what it could be? she is sneezing alot to, bless her she looks so funny, but obviously it is not funny, could it be something has got stuck up there? if so what do you think the vet will do for her?

Not been stung has she? My nellie of a dog has been stung a few times by wasps this year. I caught her sniffing at a small wasp on the floor and yelled at her because I was sure it would end up inside her nose she was so close.

Hi, i suppose it is possible, how long does it take to swell up after a sting? like i said she was fine yesterday and last night before i went to bed, and there is no sign of any wasps in the house, but then if she got stung last night when i let her out before bedtime, ummm.

Don't know, my dog didn't swell up at all but like people they are all different.  I suppose you're going to be kept in suspense until you see the vet.  Hope all goes well.

Thank you, after looking at it a few times i dont think it is a sting, her nose looks blocked with mucus and really swollen up her muzzle, thanks anyway i will still suggest that to the vet, my appointment is not till 4:30 i wish it was sooner, she looks very uncomfortable bless her.

My sisters girl had a infection up her nose, she had a slight cut that had got infected and was swollen all up one side and she had mucus coming out of it as well, the vet put her on antibiotics and it cleared up in no time.
Hope your girl is back to normal soon :-)
