I have 3 plastic dog food bins but need another one. Have tried leaving the sack in the kitchen but my oldest and fattest lab thinks it is for her to dip her head into at any time!!!
So have looked on the internet at bins and found the nylon ones. They look good but do any of you have them? I have a feeling the labs might just eat them as well as the food. I don't want anything too wide as have a narrow kitchen with the food bins down one side but the bin must be able to hold 15 kgs at least.
I know people who use the green dustbins but they would take up too much room.
Does anyone know where I might be able to get the plastic bins. I have even looked for the offers on the net where u buy the food and get a free bin but although the offer was around a while ago I can't find any.

If you get to any of the Champ Shows - Eukanuba were giving free feed bins away with a bag of food quite recently.  Don't know if they are still doing it though!

I use two of the large cool boxes (from Asda) as they stack on top of each other and fit nicely down the side of kitchen cupboards.

I use the PAH ones that are rectangle in shape, they do different sizes but I have two of the 15kg ones.  Comes with a free scoop as well.

I use some made by 'Contico', stack and nest viewable.
They easily hold 15kg and you can stack them, the front 1/3 of the lid slopes down a bit and its easy to get into even the bottom one of a stack of 4, the lid has a bit of a push clip to stop a nose opening it too easy. they were about £10 each, just got new ones as the lids eventually bust on the old ones - after about 15 years - so dont think they owed me a lot.
you may find them on www but I got these from a local diy/garden place.

I use a stainless steel touch top bin, the kind with the plastic bin inside it. Its great, stands in the corner of the kitchen - but i have been looking at the pop up nylon ones on Zooplus - but like you think the dog will eat through them.

I use B+Q plastic dustbins that were surplus to requirements at the horses!!

What a brilliant idea! Just out to get one - at last I can have my dog food handy and still keep the kitchen looking smart!

We have the eukanuba bins all lined up in the garage!  Well away from the dogs!

I would fear a touch top bin a dog could get into?  Ours if get into the garage can lift the lids off the food bins if not replaced firmly, and the lids do fall off when you knock them over, as found out by one fat dog!

Yes I maybe should have added that my old bins are in the garage away from dogs!! Not in pride of place in the kitchen!!:-D

Funnily enough they would rather steal from the rubbish bin than the dog food bin - they have never attempted to break into that - Bernese and Gordon setter - doesn't say much for their food  that costs me a fortune :-o

I have two 10kg ones but they do 25kg ones.  They are great because as the food goes down you can just make the holdall smaller and they are completely tear-proof.
