Today I have to remove jacks bandage before he goes back to the vet.
Is this a tricky thing to do....is it sticky and PLEASE any advise on how to go about it..........

The bandages my vet uses loses their stickiness the moment they are taken off. They just unravel.

If it's the same sort of bandage that most vets use - a coloured, stretchy affair - simply find the end and unwind it. It's only slightly tacky, not sticky.

if its really sticky try soaking it in warm water, if still no joy usually a little bit of surgical spirit does the trick

most vets use the non-sticky easy to remove stuff but a know of a few that use elastaplast type tape thats a pain to remove and usually takes half the hair with it

Thanks all, he is the biggest baby ever!
OH took the bandage off and he growled and whinged and carried on as if he was being murdered.
Then it was off to the vet for his 'post op'. Well the vet that did the check was convinced he was a dog with issues.....
Really it is only an issue with vets who hurt him.
He still ahs the collar to wear for another 9 days :(

Poor lad. :( He'll be happier with the bandage off though. :)

Duibh has to have his bandages stuck on with sticky stuff all over them  - and with that and taste deterrents he still licks and chews till he has got them off - he is the sort of dog it is pointless to bandage!! He actually pulled off hair and made his leg sore removing them!!
