I'm back. Holiday was so so (for personal reasons :( ). Got back. Weather is atrocious and two of the dogs have come down with a gastro-enteritis type bug

On the plus side. My horse is wonderful :D

Sorry about the holiday - isn't it always the way though when you're really looking forward to something, it never lives up to expectations :(

Hi, hope the dogs are better soon. Its such a worry leaving them, you mustn't feel guilty, everyone needs a holiday. Sorry if it wasn't the best one. I always get "travel fever" when I go away, childish really, but as soon as I get home I am planning the next one, which should be camping in Spain next Spring - dogs allowing. Made the mistake of going away recently for only 4 days, which wasn't long enough I really should have gone for a week. Does anyone else have holidays seperate from their partner? I went with a friend for the first time - yes a was a girl (!) and it was great - no responsibilities at all AND we are still speaking to each other! Glad the horse is ok, if ever I was more than an hour late on checking on mine they would wrap themselves up in wire just to prove to the world what a dreadful owner I was. Where did you go? Was it somewhere sunny?

I've had about 5 holidays with a girlfriend WL, we go about every 18 months together. I love going with hubby too in between times but I find when I am with him I let him take control partly because he is quite good at languages and partly cos it is just easier :). When I go with my chum it feels so much more adventurous (even carrying our own bags :D) and we have been to some quite far flung places, Africa, S.America, etc. For our next holiday though we are planning to take both our hubbies for the first time, now that is scarey ;):D
