I just had to google to find out who he was, and for those who also dont know :-
'All-round judge Terry Thorn is the only person in the U.K. currently to have been approved by the Kennel Club to award C.C.s in all of the breeds. He also judges all 7 groups plus Best in Show in the United Kingdom. Terry is also approved by the F.C.I. for all breeds, groups and Best in Show.'
So a complete all rounder.
RIP an obviously well respected man
Lea.

Very sad to hear this news, although we all knew how poorly he was. One of the true gentlemen of the dog show world, who was always a pleasure to show under. RIP

How sad. He was a very nice man to show under. He gave my first RR her first Group placement at an International show, years ago.

very sorry to hear the sad news about terry, a fantastic judge & a great ambassador to the dog world.
he will be much remembered & missed by all , condolances sent by all to his wife & family at this sad time

How sad, we all know he's been ill for quite some time but the show world will definitely miss him.

how sad - he was always a perfect gentleman and very knowledgeable about so many breeds - we can ill afford to lose judges of his calibre - our thoughts go to Zena and his family.

Oh that's so sad.
I liked him a lot, for the kind way he went over the dogs and for his sense of humour. He once told me to ask the show secretary if my gorgeous zoi girl could be moved to an open SLUG class :o) I'd have been peeved with him but she was being a lazy midden...and he'd just given me the dog CC :)
My thoughts are with Zena, his family and his many friends.

i will alway remmber the him at a show the story we had while he was judging teyha at the time. he love my girls.
shame he never got his hands over pagan to judge her.
One of the very best all-rounders we have ever had. I never minded whether I won or lost under I always felt he gave my dogs the best possible chance and I had enoromous respect for him. A sad day for the world of dog showing.
RIP Terry

This is very sad news indeed. I was lucky enough to show one of my dogs under Terry at SKC one year and I remember him being very thourough but gentle with my dog and very helpful in his advice and comments. I had a lot or respect for him too
The world of showing will be less without him imo

My condolences to his family
I never had the pleasure of my dogs being judged by him, but have watched him judge, true gent.

Really sad news...the last tome I showed under him was in the group at Bimingham National 2007...Even with Terry being very poorly then, he made a joke who was most out of breath me or him (I had just had to run from judging straight into the group)
My deepest sympayhy..RIP
Pam

Have only ever heard the wonderful stories about this great man

A great loss to the world of dogs. He gave two of our dogs their first CCs and was always a fair and thorough judge. A very nice man too!

the dog world will miss he deeply.

This is dreadful news. He was a lovely man.
R.I.P Terry.
Sorry to hear this, thought he was a very nice, honest judge.
RIP Terry, and thoughts to Zena

Very sad news.
Never had my dogs under him - but Zena went over Dorain at an open show once - he didn't do any good because the others were better - but she was lovely about what a nice personality he had - and I bet her husband will have been the same.
RIP Terry.
What a sad loss to the world of dogs and people too.
A true gentleman who always treated both the dogs and owners under him with kindness.
