hiya i have a new puppy she is now 13 weeks old i got her at 10 weeks any way when i got her she poo and wee ok then last week she started crying when she started pooing and spinning round she was also straining i thought a bit constapated and gave her a spot of liquid parafin and it did the trick.                                                                                                                                           After 2 days she started spinning again so a trip to the vets. The vet said she had a little prob with  anal gland on one side so empted that a lttle bit of slug came out couldnt check anything else as i have a very [dramatic breed ]so screamed to high heaven she has been fine since till now turning round and crying. As anybody had this problem in such a young pup.she eats tripe and iams small puppy complete and has since weaning also a liitle goats milk .scrambled egg ,raw chiken mince,i wondered if what she eats is causeing the problem any suggestions thanks

I've never heard of anal glands filling in such a young pup.  I don't think the usual advise to give more fibre would be appropriate here as it is very easy to overdue fibre in the young and inhibit the uptake of essential nutrients and vitamins.  I think this is definately one for your vet to advise.
