Topic Dog Boards / Health / creamy / pale greeny discharge

Yuk, sorry for the title.  I was taking my boy out this evening for his run and walk, and dropping OH at work.  We had to call in at Tesco's Express first, so I was talking to my lad like you do, I just happened to glance down as he was sat up straight on the back seat, I noticed a little blob (size of a pinhead) of creamy / greeny coloured discharge drop onto the seat and just a dew drop on the end of his willy, I have never noticed anything like this before, is this something I should be worried about? he has just finished a course of antibiotics for a flare up of his colitis.  Any advice please before I rush him down the vets again, I think my vets will be charging me rent soon...

Sit down, no need for a visit to the vet what you saw is normal and in a young dog there can be enough discharge to drip. They do grow out of the drip stage.

Ditto that.
My young lad sat on my pale gray car seat yesterday and left a little green stain..... oops :-(

I sold a male pup to a friend and when he got to teenage stage, every time she saw me she complained that when he shook he sent the 'green stuff' up the pale cream walls. Apparently Persil washing liquid is good for cleaning dried up 'stuff'.
Thanks (the avatar) that's Milli... thick but beautiful :-)

My boy is coming up for 2 and is something of a randy andy. He too suffers from attacks of the "drips" and has left marks on carpet, clothing (when I've had him on my knee.. eeeuuugh) and in the car.
Fortunately it comers out.

His worst trait is the flashing. He kindly went into "exhibition mode" just before I took him into the ring in Windsor! I would find him a girlfriend but suspect that would make him worse!

I too have this problem, however only after a bath, he does like his baths and sitting on the grooming table with the hair dryer blasting on him...........he is very strange though so maybe thats where he gets his little "pleasures" from he he he

Thank you all for your replies and your experiences of this goo, made me laugh (Floyd is 15 months old).  Anyway's I think his old troubles are returning (pancreatitus and IBS), this is now the second time in 3 weeks where he has been off his food and not drinking, though he hasn't been sick yet.  OH tempted him late this afternoon with some mashed potato and some tinned salmon, as advised by the vet when he had his last check up a couple of weeks ago.  Other vet used to starve him for 2/3 days and he would be on a drip to get his fluids, new vet says to starve him is the worst thing to do and if we can get him to eat anything to do it, but something bland and that he will recover alot quicker.  He was doing so well after his biopsy and went 3.5 months without an attack of it, now it seems he is slipping back again even though we haven't changed his food, he gets no treats or anything, so feel down and worried about it at the moment.  Anyway, I will see how he goes this evening and decide whether he needs a trip to the vets.  Thanks again.

Mine is 5, and same thing... Yuck! I'm sure he sits on the sofa in such a perfect position on purpose, for the whole world to view - typical male ;)

Hope your boy picks up soon,

Jo

Errr yes, both like producing their green stuff - and Dorain is particularly fond of dripping it on the car seat.
