hi as you allmay know we had a litter of 10 puppys, we lost one at around 2 half days old, then mother got eclampsia, then to top it all off she had to go and get medicine to fetch her out of her pregnancy because the puppys suckled her and she ended up with mastitis, weve though about getting her spayed even though were going to make a go of breeding dogs, i have had so much stress with time wasters, epople who want them for nothing, (obviously not the candidate), my girl has been through the mill, i dont want to give up, im hoping to have bred a showgirl, but then if that dont work out wel get a litter from her, i know everyone of you has been through the same thing but isnt it hard work?
but even though weve spen sooooooooo much money and used sooooo much time up im not giving up,

thanks for listeneing to me whyne on, lol

i think we have the same breed and i am totally with you it is soo hard my girl had 14 1 still born and we lost one at 6 days to neumonia they are 7 weeks old and i to have had so many time wasters but with such a large litter i knew it would be hard to find homes for them all but i now have only 2 to home the amount of stress ive had and money i have spent is phenominal but arnt they sooo worth it i suppose i was luckier than you my girl had no probs and whelped by herself also didnt your bitch have to have a c section as i have read on here that her pups are very likely to need one aswell wich is why most breeders prefer bitches from a self whelping mum so keeping one of the girls to breed may not be such a good idea good luck and i hope everything picks up for you you have had such bad luck x

Not sure 100% on the c section point........Our girl had to have ceaser after 7 pups due to one being stuck. Her daughter from that litter has 6 week old pups and she had no problems with birth

I agree with the time wasters etc , our pups were sold before birth--thats untill they were due then the buyers dropped like flies.what annoys me is those that arrange to come round, phone up & email then dont bother turning up.

i think you breeders are so brave i could not bear to bread my dog and then sell the pups i wouldnt be able to sleep not knowing where they are, who is looking after them and are they receiving the love and attention they crave for,

Hi tessisbest,
We all have the problem of worring if the choose of buyer is right. That is why you vet them the best you can and always tell them you will have your puppy back at any time dueing its life time. With out the breeders, we would not have the dogs we have and love so much would we?

i totally agree with you, but there are so so many people out there who are not doing it for the love of the dogs, only for the £ signs in front of there eyes.
