No worries.....At least I dont think so.
From when we first got puppy here she has had a strange squeak not much of a bark.
The other day my son pointed out the obvious, that she breathes peculiarly more like you would expect a pug or similar type of dog to sound. (She is a small terrier.)
she pants quite quickly too.
Should I be concerned do you think.

It is possible she has a slack soft pallet; it would be worth asking the vet to take a look and advise you.

hmmmm could be worthwhile getting her checked out, could be a problem with her soft palate possible being elongated, often causes dogs to breathe and almost grunt and make snoring type noises. most common in brachycephalic breeds, pug, bulldog, boxer etc, but i have seen it in other breeds as well. can be fixed surgically, reasonably simple procedure.
