Well now my heart rate has slowed down let me tell you about poor Treacle this morning on our walk.
She was chasing a bunny and it shot into a hole...Treacle poked her head into the hole and found a wasps nest!!! She came out covered in then, in her eyes nose mouth and ears, they were swarming around us and I just called the dogs and ran, when I got a bit of distance between us and them I had a good look at Treacle, she was covered in stings, and still had wasps in her fur all round her face, My friend and I got them off (Ouch I am a bit sore and lumpy now!) and as luck would have it we were only 5 Min's from the vet so we rushed back to the car and I phoned (Thank god for mobiles) through to say we were coming straight in. They were waiting for us and got some antihistamine and steroids into her within 15 Min's of the stings. She is now sleeping under my feet, sore and very battered looking (Looks like she has gone 5 rounds with Mike Tyson!!) but out of danger, no breathing problems and the swellings are starting to reduce. I finally got to look at my stings once she was OK and I have about five on my shoulders and upper arms, I have taken some Piriton and will survive!!
So Be-warned keep an eye out for angry wasps they are a frightening experience.
Aileen and a very sore Treacle.
