HI EVERYONE, me and hubby are off for two weeks, want to take ourselfs away with our dog for a week or few days, we live in birmingham, i only want a 2 hour journey really as ihate motorways im a nervous wreck,,, not bothered about accomodation, thanks everyone.

How about Weston - super - Mare?

How about coming east, Suffolk/Norfolk area. only M way is about first 20/30 miles then its dual A roads, busy but not choatic like M way. you can country or coast and apart from main 'day trip- stick of rock' type areas you are ok for dogs on beach etc. also mainly arable area so not too many sheep, dogs can be off lead most footpaths.

How about somewhere in the Cotswolds, only about 1.5 hrs from Birmingham, and loads of walks / lovely scenery / cake shops :-)
