Topic Dog Boards / Health / Risk of infection to puppy part through vaccinations

I have a new puppy who is about to have her first vaccination at 8 weeks.  My worry is that one week after this first vaccination, when she will only be part-protected, I'm due to go to my holiday cottage, which I own, but is rented out to others as holiday lets and we allow dogs.  The garden is fully fenced and of course, I'd keep her in the cottage and garden. I do have to go to sort out some plumbing issues.
My vet seems to think it would be OK to go ahead and take the puppy to the cottage, that I would be 'very unlucky' for her to pick anything up.  I am worried about parvo, though.  Any thoughts?

Why don't you contact a local vets in the area and find out if any thing is going around. Usually, if the area is known to be clear it should be OK for the pup.
