Lottie the rotti is now 12 mths old and on her 2nd season. This week she has taken to peeing in the house, she wet on one of the beds and so I stopped her going upstairs! She has now taken to peeing on the lounge carpet and yesterday the downstairs flight of stairs.
She has always been so good in every way, but this week she is really trying my patience. She has now been put in the kennel and run which she hates.
She will wait till I leave the room and then pee even though she has access to the garden. This weekend is the peak of her season.
Does anyone else experience this in their in season bitches or does she need a check up at the vets on Monday morning???????????????????
Please help.

Nicolla, yes one of my wolfhounds always got TBS (tiny bladder syndrome) when in season and others do/did to a lesser extent. What was worse, wolfies do BIG pees, she was a very clean dog and so she ran while peeing :-). Just in case get a box of Multistix/Dipstix from the chemist and check her urine, but it's proabably just her season.

Hubby reckons I must suffer from TBS too ;) ...whenever we go out anywhere I *have* to go within half an hour of leaving the house
:D

ROTFLOL @ Melody :D
I don't think you're an IW in disguise though, I think it's the price us girls pay for having kids! ;)

Hi Nicolla
Yes, this is something which happens. :(
On her last season, well actually it was 2 weeks before it, my bitch wet on the carpet in the hall (the only area downstairs that isn't hard floor

).
So don't worry it is just one of those things (unfortunately!) and she will be back to her houseclean self afterwards. :)

Thankyou for the replies.
I have 5 other bitches (labradors) and they have never done this, but now I know it can happen I will not worry.
Lottie is very sensitive and she knew I was cross with her and she was getting upset about it.

Haven't experienced this with a bitch but my Siamese was hell when she was in season. Peed all over the shop to the point that I decided against breeding from her and had her spayed. She was obviously very upset but just couldn't help herself.

Hi there, my border terrier has just finished her first season and had about 3 weeing accidents. I was just about to post the question on the board myself. It's amazing how useful and comforting this site can be :)

It has also answered the mystery of the puddles over the last week or so, it must be Moose. We thought it was our eldest one, Min with the first signs of incontinence, but she showed no signs of 'Oh no I have done a widdle in the house' look!! :D
