i am traveling to london zoo at end of month, havent been for probably 15 years. anyone been lately and anything new i should look out for?
thanks
thanks everyone for not bothering to reply i had a nice day
......Maybe no-one has been lately! :)
I haven't been since they had Guy the gorilla and my cousin announced, in a very loud voice, he looked like Idi Amin. I thought my Aunt was going to melt like the witch in The Wizard of Oz!!
Must have been the 1970's?
Never been to London Zoo , so couldnt tell you what to go and see!

Not been for at least 30+ years, so wouldn't know what they've got, glad you had a nice day, anything special worth going to see?:-)

I've never been. Went to Chester zoo when I was younger and loved it!

Never been hoping to go to Chester Zoo though in a few months time with a group of photographers.
Glad you had a good day!

Never been to London zoo either, went to Twycross zoo in April for granddaughters 4th birthday. Glad you had a nice day though.

I live in Lincolnshire, its a bit far for a quick day out :D :D
I've been a few times, but no idea what would be new, sooooorrrry! It always looks the same to me. :-D

I went about a year ago. Sorry, couldn't remember too much. It's such a small zoo - much prefer Whipsnade. I do remember a gorilla who looked sooo bored (he was drinking out of a 2L drinks bottle and then crushed the bottle and threw it against the wall). I liked the reptile house though, and we all had a nice feed at pizza hut before we caught the train back home!
Has anyone been to the Port Lympne Wildlife Park in Kent. Fantastic day out, the gorillas there look so much happier, terrific place, clean and spacious, definitely recommend it if anyone hasn't been.
wouldnt go to any zoo that had polar bears in it! but as far as i am aware london doesnt but i could be wrong......
and i was a zookeeper til i moved here to cheshire...

Oh... terribly sorry I missed this.
I went once when I was 3. I cried at an elephant and I was sick on the way home.
Did your London Zoo experience suffer for not knowing that?

Wrong end of the country....sorry!

Ive been to Port Lympne many times as its not that far from me also Howlets Zoo is a nice day out its port lympnes "sister" zoo,
to the OP as for London zoo i was a bit disapointed when i last went, sorry i would of commented before you went but i didn't see your post but i'm glad you had a nice day out.

Gosh haven't been to London zoo since I was a first year at secondary school (quite a while since ;) )
We either go to Twycross or Drayton as they are much closer to us :)
Went to Chester Zoo a few years back, lovely big zoo and park :)

Never been to london zoo either- well actually have never been to London hmmmmm
I have been to the MooseJaw Zoo which is now closed, and also Sea World. I do wanna go to the Zoo in Calgary- thats suppose to be a good one, but was told would need more then a day, also would love to go to the Ontario Zoo the one that is usually on tv- At the Zoo on animal planet, sadly don't have them channels anymore.... here I am just babbling :D
Hope the Zoo was enjoyable :)
