Topic Dog Boards / Health / Puppy Sick

My 4 1/2 month old puppy has been sick a few times this afternoon. She is occasionally sick, mostly if she has been eating poo from the garden! It was obvious fromt he first couple of this afternoons sicks that she has been eating poo again. She has had a couple of semi-solid poos this morning too.

I am paranoid as I have started raw feeding them (kibble mornings, raw for dinner) fairly recently and although I know the risk is small, I am constantly keeping an eye out. The dogs had chicken legs for dinner last night, which they have had before with no problems. Puppy ate her breakfast of kibble with no problems, and hasn't brought that back up. She is OK in herself, although tired now, an dhaving a sleep, as she has been playing with the other all morning and in between being sick.

I have rung my vet who has said the usual of don't feed her until tomorow, then start her on a bit of chicken and rice and make sure she is drinking, but if I get worried, bring her in. However, it is a new vet as we have moved, so I am not 100% confident with them yet.

I am assuming however, that if it were a problem related to the bones she ate yesterday,  she would not have kept her breakfast down, and would not have the runs? And that therefore she has picked something up as the vet has said. If someone can reasure me or otherwise, I'd appreciate it! My gut instinct is it is just a bug, but I am a worrier!
