We've gradually been introducing Rambo to Pets at Home Complete Senior food for the past 3/4 weeks. For the past week he's only had the senior food and he's had an on and off upset tummy and is just not himself at all, one day he's fine and the next day he's back to having a funny tum. This morning his tummy is making all sorts of growling noises and he's just moping about which is definately not like him.

The earliest appointment I could get him at the vets is Wednesday, has anybody any ideas on what I can do to make him more comfortable in the meantime. I was thinking about trying him back on his old food as he was fine on that (normal pets at home complete). I've already stopped his treats to try and rule them out.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

If any of mine have an upset tummy - usually a result of eating something disgusting in the forest! - I dose them with Kaolin & Morphine - available from a Chemist.  Its cheap and I've always found it very effective - usually 1 dose sorts them out.  I also tend to miss a meal and see how they're doing and may give them a light meal later to see how they tolerate that.  If it doesn't work in a day or two its a trip to the vet!

I went to get this the other day to be told that very few chemists stock it now, due to the amount of misuse.  Gave up in the end after going round half a dozen chemists!

I did have a problem getting it a while ago but it now appears to be widely available again.  I've been able to get it in Sainsburys and Boots lately.
