Topic Other Boards / Foo / Quiz: "What kind of thinker are you?"
- By HuskyGal Date 20.06.08 12:26 UTC
OK..Im back!
Here's the weekly "something for the weekend", we'll start easy.. a nice little quiz :)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/leonardo/thinker_quiz/

I came out as 'Interpersonal thinker'
Im with Churchill, Mother Theresa and Shakespeare!
My occupation should be Politician,Nurse, teacher........ Not bad as Im a Medic Instructor with a Police force! (But Im no Mother Theresa!!)

How accurate was yours???
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 20.06.08 12:32 UTC
I am an interpersonal thinker.

Interpersonal thinkers:
Like to think about other people, and try to understand them
Recognise differences between individuals and appreciate that different people have different perspectives
Make an effort to cultivate effective relationships with family, friends and colleagues

Like interpersonal thinkers, Leonardo had lots of friends and contacts, and was a popular figure at the Italian court.   Other Interpersonal thinkers include
Winston Churchill, Mother Teresa, William Shakespeare

Careers which suit Interpersonal thinkers include
Politician, Psychologist, Nurse, Counsellor, Teacher

A bit like me, but i think it is quite a broad section that many could fit in to or find similarities with.
- By Lori Date 20.06.08 12:47 UTC
Hmmm, something fishy here! I'm an interpersonal thinker too. My job is nothing like those on the list - then again, maybe that's why I don't like it. :)
- By HuskyGal Date 20.06.08 12:52 UTC
*Fights her way through the Bunsen burners and test tube stands*
Yeah, your the (mad) scientist type and I marked all those type questions as my worst.. so how can we be the same Mme.Currie??
- By zarah Date 20.06.08 12:53 UTC
"Naturalist Thinkers:

Like to understand the natural world, and the living beings that inhabit it.
Have an aptitude for communicating with animals.
You try to understand patterns of life and natural forces.

Like other Naturalist thinkers, Leonardo longed to spend time in the countryside. He spent hours watching birds to understand how they flew.

Other Naturalist thinkers include: Charles Darwin, Jane Goodall, Johnny Morris, David Attenborough.

Careers which suit Naturalist thinkers include:

Biologist, Meteorologist, Forester, Farmer, Astronomer, Alternative therapist."

Not sure I fancy any of those careers
- By yrlance Date 20.06.08 12:55 UTC

I'm a Linguistic and Logical Mathematical thinker

In with:
Willie Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath, Anne Frank, Newton, Archimedes and Einstein - sounds just like me :-D :-D

I could be a journalist, Librarian , Proof-reader, Computer Programmer, Lawyer, Engineer, Inventor

Well I was an engineer and I now teach programming so.....
- By zarah Date 20.06.08 12:58 UTC
rofl! That's a naturist isn't it? :-P
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 20.06.08 12:58 UTC
Given my name it is hardly surprising really ...

Musical thinkers:

    * Tend to think in sounds, and may also think in rhythms and melodies
    * Are sensitive to the sounds and rhythms of words as well as their meanings.
    * Feel a strong connection between music and emotions

:) :)
- By HuskyGal Date 20.06.08 12:59 UTC
*you'd* know Zarah!!!!! :-O ;-)

- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 20.06.08 13:06 UTC
I'm an interpersonal/linguistic thinker - so my ideal job would be Journalist, Librarian, Salesperson, Proof-reader, Translator, Poet, Lyricist/Politician, Psychologist, Nurse, Counsellor, Teacher

Im up there with (correction - my ideal mentors would) be William Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath, Anne Frank/Winston Churchill, Mother Teresa, William Shakespeare

Interesting .....seems to tie in with my gemini background as well :)

- By Nova Date 20.06.08 13:09 UTC
I'm confused it gave me two results? Logical-Mathematical was the first and Naturalist, reckon that means I can sit in a field naked and build a computer having watched an apple fall :-)
- By Dogz Date 20.06.08 13:12 UTC
Interpersonal also......
Suits me.  ;)

- By Nova Date 20.06.08 19:52 UTC

No I don't think so but some people seem to be two types of thinker and I was a Logical - mathematical and a Naturalist, as no one else has had this I am beginning to feel a sort of outsider freak :-)
- By Dakkobear [gb] Date 20.06.08 21:09 UTC
