Can anyone point me in the direction of companies that insure holiday homes?

Are you taking about a second home or one that is let?  For our second home all we could find at a reasonable price was Norwich Union but they did insist that we insure our first home with them too.  Since someone in our house became eligable ;-) though we have been with Saga who were cheaper and allow you to shop seperately for your first home, although they were the cheapest for that too as it happened.
I think for a let property you could try the AA but I think it will be quite expensive, they were for a holiday home, otherwise you could ask one of the rental agencies for recommendations.

Yes it is in the Uk and it is our 2nd home for our holidays and won't be let out.

Only problem is that we can't insure our first property with them as it is in the Channel Islands.
