What were your fav TV programs when little? For me, back in the days when tv was not all day, and the viewing ended with the white dot and awful noise :)

Watch with Mother, Bill and Ben, White Horses, Fury, Champion the wonder horse, sooty and sweep, thunderbirds, are some I remember. Most in black and white :) :)
- By DEARLADY [gb] Date 17.06.08 12:20 UTC

Twizzle, Hoppity, Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds watch with Mother ( and the biggest spotty dog you ever did see!), Dr Who from behind the sofa ( realising as an adult that a set of steps would have beat the darleks). Oh I like this one as well.
- By bernesebaby [gb] Date 17.06.08 12:46 UTC
i used to love "dungeons and dragons" and "rent a ghost" think thats what it was called had audrey from corrie in it as miss pop off, there was another one called "number 27" or something probably not that at all used to have a red door at the begining (any ideas??) also used to love "supergran" and "metal mickey".
- By gembo [gb] Date 17.06.08 12:47 UTC

, Dr Who from behind the sofa ( realising as an adult that a set of steps would have beat the darleks

ohhhh, yes me behind the sofa too! In fact the scarey effect stayed with me (how sad ;) ) until I visited Llangollen where the Dr Who museam was, and realised just what they were made of, and stood inside one! Wimp that I was :) :) (I was visiting with my own sons who were about 9ish :) :) )

Did anyone join the 'Tinger and Tucker' club with 'Auntie...something, can't remember now? Was that a part of watch with mother?
- By Gemini05 Date 17.06.08 13:02 UTC

With Auntie Jean!!!! yep and my OH has a Blue Peter badge.,
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 17.06.08 13:09 UTC
oh yeah...blue peter, i wrote a letter to them once and got a badge, but when i hit my teenage years i threw it out becuase it thought it was so uncool. What an idiot, wish i had it now!
- By Whistler [gb] Date 17.06.08 13:11 UTC
They sell as Antiques and collectors bit around £50 - £100 depending on condition and if you have the letter!!!
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 17.06.08 13:16 UTC
YOU'RE JOKING???!!!!!
I had kept the envelope, letter & badge for years then threw it out in a strop one day cos i wanted to be a grown up and thought a blue peter badge was so babyish!!! What an eejit!
- By Whistler [gb] Date 17.06.08 13:23 UTC
No I trawl the Antiques markets and they are very popular as a social history, its a bit like keeping boxed toys when the first instinct is to trash the thing. Poole pottery is worth looking for as they went bankrupt, floated again and have gone again those awful blue dophins ect...
- By shadbolts [gb] Date 17.06.08 13:34 UTC
