You know how it is, you're bored, you browse the net.  Well just found a cottage near Thurso (north east scotland, far up as you can go :)).  One week, dog included, 4 miles of beach, fishing for OH.  Only £180 all in :) :) Had some great cottage holidays in UK but not been up the north east before, well not past Aberdeen anyway.  Mind you, it will be October, so not exactly sunbathing weather but I'm really looking forward to it.

It's good having something to look forward to, we go to South Frica for 2 weeks in 6 weeks time & I cannot wait! We booked it in Jan so have been waiting a very very long time!

Ok make me jealous :)   Always wanted to go there.  Let me know how it goes.  Only one thing - you can't take the dog!  Not that it stops me zipping off to the caribbean when I can afford it :)

I will, so far we've only booked our accomodation in Cape Town & the Safari lodge, we've got 7 days in between to do whatever takes our fancy, think we're going to drive along the Garden Route, do a bit (who am I kidding) a lot of wine tasting, whale watching & generally having a good time!

Fortunately we've got very very good parents who will happily have Molly stay with them whilst we're away, they haven't got dogs themselves & love her to pieces so she gets well & truly spolit, doesn't stop me missing her though!

Caribbean?! Never been there! Always imagined it would be a honeymoon type destination! Where do you stay?

Try googgling The Oberoi Mauritus spent 16 days there last year, Lush. Best holiday 28 days in Antartica, Falklands & Beunos Aries in 2006/7.
