I had a Staffy years ago that was epileptic.  The previous owners didn't tell me this when I took her on!!  The first fit she had was horrendous.  I thought she was dying!  She had to go on medication as her fits were quite frequent.  When she came round she was very disorientated and didn't know what was happening.  Eventually the medication wrecked her liver and she had to be PTS.  I would never knowingly take on another epileptic dog purely because of the heartbreak it caused.  Don't get me wrong, I loved her to bits, but I couldn't go through this again.  This is just my opinion and I'm sure others who have and have had epileptic dogs will be along soon to give you theirs.

To have fits at such a very young age (starting at 2 years or so is more usual) doesn't bode well for the longterm future of this poor pup. To be honest it's not destined for a long life.
