My re-homing centre re-homed a slightly nervous springer spaniel on Saturday. Her home was prechecked and all was well. They came to visit her several times before going home because she was nervous and needed to get to know them. She seemed very interested and instantly friendly to the man of the house and did not want to return to kennels on their initial visit.
Well only the woman came for her on Saturday and we put the dog in the car for her gave her a homing pack etc.
On arriving home the woman opened the car door and something spooked the dog and she bolted because it was so unexpected the lady let the collar go. She has been spotted back and forth near where she bolted....well meaning helpers tried to "catch" the dog and she again ran for all she was worth and had been spotted more than 12 miles from the original place. The people did not phone us until Sunday morning so by then we probably could have caught her.
No sightings of her today and I went to have a look and took my dog with me I went out with the man and my hubby.
So we need good vibes for being found safe (she nearly caused traffic accidents when she bolted). Passing cars seem to be the main triggers for running. She is micro chipped.
Thank for any vibes...
We are covering the media and the police and vets...the man even knows of two working police dogs who MAY be able to track her.
Cheers
Where abouts in the country are you? It would help to know, and it would be helpful if you could provide contact information in the event someone finds her.You should post this on the "missing" board.
We are in Northern Ireland....and and I will post on the missing board....hadn't actually thought of that so thanks.

best of luck finding her
Poor little love. I hope she gets found safe and well and is able to spend the rest of her life in her new hme, gaining confidence & living happily after after.
