my litter are now 4 weeks old and i have started weaning them i also wormed them 2 days ago using drontal and they have started having loose stools not watery just not as solid as normal is this normal due to weaning and worming or should i have them to the vets mum is still cleaning up after them but god the mess in the cage this morning after her being out for an hour i had to bathe them all as they were filthy lol also she is still spending all night in the cage with pups is this ok they love their food but there is 1 in particular who really isnt interested in eating the food nearly all are over 1kg apart from the little one who is 712g but is putting on weight still and loves his  food any help or advice appreciated thank you in advance

mums normaly stop cleaning as soon as solid food starts so now its up to you. its ok if mum spends all night but she needs to be able to jump out if she wants to. loose stools are normal at this age, worming does it and also teething. i would just keep an eye for a couple of days

i had the same problem after i wormed my recent litter with drontal 6 & 8 weeks they had very loose stools worse at 8 weeks, both times i gave them prokolin 1st time given to me by the vets then i just bought it online the 2nd time much cheaper :) http://www.vetuk.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_145&products_id=249 it worked a treat too, as for mum still cleaning up after pups go on solids, my girl is still cleaning up after her daughter nearly 12 weeks on and did the same until the other 3 left too lol !

Mum of my last litter cleaned up after the puppies near upto the day they left ,it was a fight between us who got thier first yuk !!

As long as it isnt squirting out and very loose I wouldnt worry too much keep an eye on it and make sure they dont become dehydrated make sure they have fluids.
