Sister has a female who had a litter of 9 pups. Three have died and there was a fourth who was not getting fed. We took the pup in and have had her for four days. She was starting to do well, she was eating the replacement milk and moving around. Know the pup has diarehea and has not urineated but once today. Over the last couple of hours, it seems that she is not moving as much but she is still eating alright. We are quiet worried and on the advice of a vet on teh phone, she has had 1/2 a cc of Imodium AD liquid and several cc's of Pedalyte to help with the dehydration. Should we be overly worried or just sit back and let her be. We have become quiet attached over the last couple of days and have never had a saint bernard before. Unsure of how the pup should act. She is the runt of the litter and I know that she is smaller than the other pups in the litter. Also she is moaning alot, she is kept warm, and stimulated to have bowel movements and urinate after feeding. If anybody has any information, or knows of anything that might help, we would realy appreciate it.

The best thing you could do for her is to see if the bitch will accept her back - being reared by her mother is the best way of doing things. If you do this get some of the mothers milk and smear it over the pup and rub her amongst the others to get their smell back on her
